Being Your Own Boss: Business Basics & Marketing
Running a business can be very complex! Let us help you successfully facilitate the business basics. Course 2 is designed to teach and share business processes that may be new to those without a business or marketing background. Come experience business must-haves like an operating agreement, balance sheets and income statements, and strategies for creating your social media presence!
This presentation will include experiential exercises in business documentation and tutorials for creating social media content. Participants will work individually and within the group to explore problems and solutions for a mock business or a business concept of their own. They will discover which strategies to implement, questions to ask, and steps to take to ensure success. Research in the fields of music therapy and business will be presented to support historical trends and up-to-date information. The presenters will also share their experiences and expertise in private practice, university clinics, community programming, and online business. Tangible materials will be given to participants to reference if or when they continue their own entrepreneurial journey.
